PCdoB repudiates attacks of new coup chancellor to Venezuela
On May 18, 2016, Senator José Serra has assumed the office of chancellor, appointed by a government (then interim) that emerged from a coup against President Dilma Rousseff.
From the very begin Serra directed his efforts to attack Latin American integration, in close coordination with the right wing governments of Argentina and Paraguay, having as main target of his ant diplomatic verbiage the dignified and haughty Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela
The coup diplomacy thus stood in full tune with the interests of the US government, which see the Latin American integration process as a threat to its hegemony in the region, with the destabilization of the Venezuelan government as a central objective.
After a short and disastrous period in front of the Chancellery, Serra was replaced by Aloysio Nunes, a hardened and angry allied of the coup, who will continue the diplomacy of the coup and already in his first statements rises the tone against the fraternal country, questioning the Venezuelan democracy and defaming its government.
As the chancellor of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, reminds us, a government that is the result of a coup d’etat has no moral and authority to give lessons of democracy. It is in the service of undermining Latin American integration, national sovereignty and the social rights of peoples.
A government that brings together elements that represent backwardness, reactionary, and physiology in Brazilian politics, beginning with the President of the Republic and going through the Chancellor.
The Bolivarian revolution faces with courage and fearless boycotts, sabotages and attacks by national and foreign rightists, all of them obedient to the dictates of US imperialism and who seek to restore the power of the old Venezuelan oligarchy.
The PCdoB gives full and unrestricted solidarity to the people of Venezuela and to the government of President Nicolás Maduro, confident that the revolution will move forward, deepen popular power and organize in a powerful and unitary way the resistance in defense of democracy and national sovereignty in Venezuela.
